From an early age, music was more than just a passion for Shakiel—it was second nature. His journey began with the descant recorder, before expanding to drums and keyboard, where his talent and intuition for music flourished.

As he explored the depths of sound, he found himself drawn to music production, realizing it was where his true artistry thrived. During his teenage years, cinematic scores and musical compositions captivated him—often, the music spoke to him more than the movie itself.

His love for music deepened when he attended St. Leonard’s Boys' Secondary School, where Mr. Pernell Farley (music teacher) and Mr. Andrew Lokey (choir director) played significant roles in shaping his musical path. This foundation led him to further his studies at Barbados Community College, where he earned an Associate Degree in Fine Arts (Applied Music).

After graduating, Shakiel completed a year-long internship at AudioLabb Studios, mastering the fundamentals of audio engineering. His dedication to growth and excellence drove him to acquire a Diploma in Professional Sound Engineering and a Certificate in Sound Technology—solidifying his expertise in the industry.

Today, Shakiel continues to evolve as a sound engineer, music composer, and creative visionary, aiming to establish himself as a renowned figure in audio production. His passion remains unmatched, driven by a commitment to precision, clarity, and emotional depth in every project he touches.
