Sound engineers are artists too! While sound engineers are thought of as great technicians, I use the studio more like a musical instrument. Producing great work requires creative talent and I use my technical expertise to perform on sound equipment. Think of how a pianist plays a piano, or a drummer grooves on a drum kit; I use knobs, switches and buttons.
Like many artists, I truly love to improvise, in fact I have an instinctive approach. By allowing the mood and flow of the musical synergy to guide my creative intuition, I’m able to generate the unique and dynamic sounds that take the music to the next level.
