Cody Clinton started playing the guitar in 1995 at the age of 13. He started playing primarily the music of that era which was Grunge and 90’s Alternative with his first band, Bliss. As he got into High School, Cody began showing more interest in Classic Rock acts like Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. This is when he began to play more lead guitar. His High School band, Analog, was featured on a compilation called “Homegrown,” produced by Tulsa’s local radio station Z104.5 “The Edge.” Cody went on to form Pilot Project, who did small tours with Top 40 Oklahoma Alt-Band Caroline’s Spine. After the break up of Pilot Project, Cody gained an interest in Bluegrass and traveled around with Tulsa’s “Podank String Band,” and tightened his acoustic guitar skills. Then, in 2008 Cody released his first solo album, “The Tragic Truth” by Cody Clinton and the Bishops. His solo band opened for Blind Melon on their reunion tour. The Bishops broke up when Cody’s band members were hired by Tulsa legend, Leon Russell. After playing lead guitar for the local Tulsa Blues-Rock band Pilgrim for a few years. Cody then formed a Folk Duo with who would later become his wife, Desi Roses. “Desi and Cody” have toured the U.S. extensively, been official artists at SXSW, and had songs placed in television series such as Netflix’s “The Ranch.” Cody also plays Jamband/New Grass music with the band Grazzhopper. Cody started playing the bass as he started producing more records. His first album on bass was Giakob Lee’s first LP, which Cody produced. Since then Cody has begun playing bass in the band “Chance and the Takers.” Cody has produced many records, including Desi and Cody, Wink Burcham, Grazzhopper, Giakob Lee, and more.
