Paul Bain is one of the most in demand session drummers in Australian country music. The protege of world-renown drum master Dr Grant Collins, Bain has played and toured with some of the country’s finest acts, honing his skills as both a professional drummer and a producer. He has held artist endorsement deals with DW Drums and Evans Drumheads - two of the world’s most prestigious drum companies - since 2008, and in 2021 officially became a Gretsch Drums and Protection Racket artist as well.

After a five-year run with his own band - CMC Award nominee Georgia Fall - Bain took the seat for star of Channel 9’s ‘The Block’ and Golden Guitar-winning country artist Kirsty Lee Akers, as her studio and touring drummer. In 2020 he also joined the touring band for country music heavy-weight and Golden Guitar winner Travis Collins, and his impressive resume as a freelance musician includes work with Australia's leading country artists Drew McAlister, James Blundell, Tania Kernaghan, Kristy Cox and Jetty Road.

As the go-to drummer for award-winning Canadian acts Amy Nelson and The Dungarees on their Australian tours, Bain also had the honour of playing and recording with INXS founding member Andrew Farriss at his studio in northern New South Wales in 2019.

Between a busy national 2022 tour and festival schedule with ARIA Award nominee & CMA Global Artist Award-winner Travis Collins, Bain is currently producing Americana songstress Lisa De Angelis’ debut album from his production & tuition studio in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley. He has recently hit another career highlight with the release of Kirsty Lee Akers’ sixth studio album ‘WILD’ in April 2022 debuting at #1 on the ARIA Chart, which he co-produced and played drums and percussion on.
