Spoonfed as a child with blues and rock and roll. At an early age his fever for life brings him hitch hiking and traveling around half Italy and Europe, with a guitar on his back, and later to the United States, specifically in New Orleans. So much in love with this city, he decides to throw his return ticket in the trash. So he lived there illegally for ten years, mastering the blues, soul and rock guitar, especially slide guitar, both acoustic and electric, becoming one of the most loved and respected guitar players around. Played every club and festival of the city, every street corner, got in trouble, had a lot of fun, got married to a blueswoman with a voodoo ceremony, who thought him the blues and for whome risked his life, got in fights, met beautiful awsome people and had great adventures, had a great rolling and kicking time, eventually getting arrested, and deported to Italy after two months of prison time, with a ten years ban. For the past few years he has been touring and recording with several acts, and, always with his guitar, traveled and stayed in many different places around the globe, every continent except antartica, and played music with people from different part of the world soaking up the local flavor. Every sunset, every bonfire, every night of love or of loneliness, every party, every tear and every smile, every dusty mile of highway of this life is in his guitar playing. Main projects nowadays are being the guitar player and a big part of the signature sound of Playing For Change and Luke Winslow King. He's also very much involved with projects that span from pre-war country blues to hard hitting rock an roll, such as Tres Radio Express Service, Niki la Rosa, Elisabetta Maulo, One Eat One, Trainwreck, Andy Kelapa, Adriana Hamilton. Roberto put his unique sound and experience at your service recording in a full pro recording studio in Livorno, Italy, 360 Music Factory, or SAM Studio in Lari.
