My own music has been, and is being used by the BBC (One Show), CBeebies (My Pet and Me), Channel 4 (Location, Location, Location), and many other TV shows, ads and films internationally.
My first music recording is fifty years old. I began by experimenting with bouncing recordings between a reel to reel tape machine and a radio cassette.
Later, an Akai 4000DS tape recorder on which it was possible to layer recordings on top of each other (my lovely future wife bought me a second Akai 4000DS from her first teacher’s wage).
Then on to a dedicated 4 track multitrack cassette recorder.
Onto an 8 track reel to reel tape recorder with mixing desk and outboard gear.
Then a 16 track machine with a bigger desk, more outboard gear, synced hardware sequencers, samplers and a digital recorder.
Then came the switch to computer.
My current well appointed studio is based around a high spec 2019 Mac Pro and UAD interface.
During the last fifty years I have become proficient with acoustic and electric guitar, bass, keyboards and other acoustic instruments. I am able to utilise software to add a wide variety of instrumentation on request. I produce and master tracks in any genre, to a broadcast, ready, commercially high standard.
My passion for making, recording and producing music has never wained and I love what I do, day in, day out.
