Hi! I’m Jason Bergeron born and raised in Lafayette, LA. I began playing the diatonic accordion at the age of seven and soon after began playing the fiddle. By the age of ten, I was performing live and have been playing professionally for the last 26 years.

Appearing with future country music star, Hunter Hayes on the nationally broadcast show Regis and Kathie Lee, as well as The Maury Povich Show. This was just the beginning of a career that has allowed me to travel the country near and far. While most of my mentors for the fiddle and accordion are local artists such as Rufus and Tony Thibodeaux, Chad Cormier, Jamey Bearb, Beau Thomas, Belton Richard, and Wayne Toups. A couple of my country influencers are world renowned artists Gene Elders and Johnny Lee Carpenter. Though my biggest guiding light through my music career has been my father, Vernon Bergeron who is a drummer, singer, and songwriter. I am very fortunate to have been able to share the stage with him.

For just over 17 years now, I have been performing and recording full time with Jamie Bergeron and The Kickin' Cajuns. In addition I perform and record with another band, High Performance, where I play twin fiddle and also the accordion. From time to time I perform with Grammy Award winner Wayne Toups at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and the prestigious Festivals Acadien in Lafayette, LA.

As a first call session player in South Louisiana, my work can be heard on a variety of genres of music. These projects range from cajun, country, swing, southern rock, R&B and gospel. Between the festivals, night clubs, corporate events, studio sessions, and even Caribbean cruises, I consider myself blessed to be able to do something I love to do!
