By day, I'm a telecommunications engineer, but music has always been more than a hobby. After years of balancing work, family, and music, I decided it was time to stop wondering "what if" and take a real chance on doing what I love.
I've been playing bass for more than 25 years and currently perform with the Leif Meche Band, a South Louisiana-based rock, blues, and country band. We regularly perform at festivals and venues throughout Louisiana and the Gulf Coast. Along the way, we won the 2024 Louisiana Rockstar Search (Eagle 98.1 Battle of the Bands), earned radio airplay on Eagle 98.1, Planet Radio, and KBON, and had the opportunity to open for blues-rock legend Kenny Wayne Shepherd.
My approach to bass playing is simple: serve the song. Whether it's locking in a solid groove for country, driving a blues shuffle, or adding power to a rock anthem, I focus on feel, timing, and supporting the band. I play both a 4-string and 5-string Fender Precision Bass and use a Line 6 Helix to dial in the right tone for virtually any live or studio setting.
For recording sessions, I work from a home studio using a PreSonus AudioBox interface and PreSonus Studio One DAW, allowing me to deliver professional-quality bass tracks remotely. I'm available for live performances, studio sessions, fill-in gigs, touring opportunities, and collaborations. Based in South Louisiana, I'm willing to travel for the right project.
Whether I'm engineering telecommunications projects or laying down bass tracks, I've always believed that preparation, reliability, and professionalism matter. I bring that same mindset to every rehearsal, recording session, and performance.
