Johnny began playing drums at the ripe young age of five. What started as banging on pots and pans quickly turned into a life-long passion for drums. Johnny's love for drumming came from early involvement in Church bands and praise & worship gigs. He began playing professionally and touring when he was fourteen years old, playing a wide variety of genres, including: pop/punk, country, praise & worship, indie/alternative, singer-songwriter, and many others. After studying jazz drumming in college, Johnny now works as a national freelance drummer.
