Johnnie Ferro is a multi-genre, multi instrumentalist musician and producer. His passion for music came about at an early age when, at 11 years old, he heard Guns N Roses for the first time and decided that he wanted to “do that!” Fast-forward a few years and Johnnie was now learning about all things music structure and composition, as well as building up his improvisation skills via Jazz.

Never losing his roots in Jazz, Johnnie has gone on to become both a live and session vocalist, guitarist, and bassist, again across multiple genres with a focus in Rock, Blues, and Country. He trained with celebrity vocal coach Jeannie Deva and has performed on stage and in studio with the likes of Manny Charlton (Nazareth), Walfredo Reyes (Chicago, Santana), and Steve Vai, and he was listed as one of Music Connection Magazines’ 100 Hot Unsigned Live Acts in 2012. Johnnie has written hundreds of songs and released 4 albums of original music as well as several singles since moving to Los Angeles in 2010.

Along with making music, Johnnie’s other passion in life is helping others - especially other artists - and this naturally led him into the world of music production. For the past 2 decades, Johnnie has been learning and perfecting his approach to producing. Proficient in ProTools, Logic, and Reason, Johnnie’s viewpoint on working with artists as their producer is that he is not there to alter the artist’s sound or communication - his job is to help them bring these things out and get their intended communication across in the purest, most complete way possible. Whether lending his musical skills to a track as a session player, doing a full production, and anything in between, his ultimate goal when working with an artist is that they walk away from the project feeling more confident and competent as artists and with regards to their communication, and that they are thrilled with their product!
