Hi there! My name is Joey Weidner, and I am a guitarist, songwriter, and audio engineer from West Cork, Ireland. I am delighted to offer my services as a remote session musician, songwriter, and producer.

I specialize in Blues, Soul, Rock, and R&B. I love to create parts that groove right, feel good, and most importantly, serve the song. I would describe my sound as 'tastefully old-school, with an emphasis on pocket and groove'. Some of my influences are Led Zeppelin, Ry Cooder, Tom Petty, John Mayer, Bill Withers, Steve Cropper, Santana, Tom Misch, Prince, Curtis Mayfield, Pink Floyd, Nile Rodgers, Rolling Stones, The Black Keys, Peter Greene, and of course Jimi Hendrix.

I have worked in studios and performed on stages across the world with artists such as Sion Hill, Kodaline, Talking Waves, John Carney, and The Dropkick Murphys. In 2019 I moved to Boston MA to work as an audio engineer, but unfortunately, due to the pandemic, I returned to Ireland in March 2020. I built a home studio and pivoted into online session work, private teaching, and content creation. So far, it has been a real eye-opener. My recent clients include RTÉ (Irish national television) and Pickup Music (one of the largest online guitar communities).

Acoustic, electric, slide, rhythm, lead, ambient, whatever your needs, I have a guitar, tone, and part to suit. My gear list includes: Stratocaster, Telecaster, Jaguar, Les Paul, SG, Gretsch hollow body, 12 string and 6 string acoustics, a vintage Framus Bass, many top of the line effects pedals, a Fender Deluxe Reverb, an Ampeg GVT52, various condenser and dynamic mics, and a Focusrite 18i20 interface. I'm also proficient in both Logic and ProTools.

One side of my studio is dedicated to video production, so I can also record a video of my performance for your track.
