Hailing from Johannesburg, South Africa; Jodie Reid has established herself as one of the most unusual singer-songwriters known to humans. With an enthusiasm for penguins and all things natural; she has released a diverse selection of songs with subjects ranging from volcanoes to bed bugs and everything in between.

Completing her first song at the age of 12, Jodie has learnt to respect the process of creating music through her studies, earning a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Performance (2018). She enjoys exploring genres outside of her comfort zone when partaking in collaborations, while her solo work showcases an abundance of acoustic influences.

Jodie played her first live performance in 2017 at a local Mardi Gras. Since then, she has been active in the gigging industry, gaining the opportunity to open for Jesse Clegg at one of his performances.

To date, Jodie has released three albums namely: ‘Secondary Sight’- (July, 2019), ‘Celtic Commotion' (May, 2020) - and her most recent release -‘Robust Rebellion’ (July, 2021) which has received a vast amount of support from fans, overseas radio stations and music blogs alike.

In addition to her solo projects, Jodie has taken part in numerous collaborations through programs like The International Songwriters Camp in Haarlem, Netherlands (2017) as well as Nandos Music Exchange (2018) in London, United Kingdom. Her latest collaborations include ‘Take It’ with Drawing on Scars (USA) and ‘Breaking Down’ with Ken Waters (Canada).

Currently, Jodie is promoting her third album, assisting aspiring musicians with their craft, hiking, screaming (the fun kind) and plucking strings at every possible opportunity.
