Jean-Jacques Rojer is a guitarist and composer from the Caribbean island of Curaçao. Rojer’s album Soko (Sunnyside records) was recorded and released in New York and features Grammy-winner Jeff’ Tain” Watts on drums, Grammy-winners John Benitez on bass, Pernell Saturnino on Percussion and the virtuosic Warren Wolf on vibraphones. The album was initiated and produced by Grammy-winning producer Brain Bacchus.
Upon finishing his electrical engineering studies, Rojer went on to follow his passion. He got accepted at the Royal Conservatory in the Hague, The Netherlands, from where he graduated cum laude in 2003.
Rojer has performed with Paquito D'Rivera at Carnegie Hall. He has also had the honour to work in New York with Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra.
Besides the aforementioned, Rojer has also worked and made guest appearances with Ilan Chester, Andy Narell, Phillip Harper, Michael Kanan, Randal Corsen, Izaline Calister, Marjorie Barnes, Nederlands Blazers Ensemble, Metropool Orchestra, Fra Fra sound and many others.

Rojer has been a bandleader and producer since 2010. He was worked in various genres from EDM to Rock and everything in between. As a composer he was worked on many theater productions and soundtracks He is a 2026 recipient of a "Buma music in motion award " for a movie soundtrack he composed, recorded and produced. He has a fully equiped home studio for his production work. The studio has an analog Universal Audio mic pre and compressor, Focal studio monitors, Apollo interface Neumann U87 and km184 mics, matched pair of AKG C414's, a vintage 1975 Fender twin ( a present from Björg's drummer), A mesa Boogie Lone star special, Gibson les paul, Gibson 165, Conde Hermanos Nylon string guitar, a Cuban tres ( which he studied with Israel Gonzalez from Septeto Ignacio Piñeiro) and much more.
