Dylan received his first keyboard around the age of 5 and has been playing ever since. At the age of 10, he started classical training through a combination of private lessons and self teaching. His training continued in high school while attending the Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts, as well as through college, where he is currently studying to receive a BA in Music Production. In July of 2011, he joined The Departure as their keyboardist and contributes to writing and production of material. Grimm also acts as a producer and songwriter for himself and as well as for other artists. In August of 2015, Dylan officially launched his record label, Acrobatic Records. Four months later, in November of 2015, Dylan released his Debut LP "Pop Music Is Not A Crime." This was followed up in 2016 with the release of "Paradise (A State of Mind)," which was nominated for the 2016 Utah Music Awards, and the concept EP, "SERENITY."
Grimm's current sound could best be described as a mixture of Top 40 Pop, Future R&B, Future Pop, Future Bass, Drum & Bass, and Trap. However, he has produced in a number of genres including; Trance, Electro, Rock, and Metal. His music, which has a high production value, is paired with a stunning visual aesthetic to create a truly cohesive and strong brand designed to compliment his solo releases.
