I'm Malo Mazurié, a professional French jazz trumpeter, cornetist and arranger with classical training. I record trumpet and cornet remotely for artists, producers and composers who want a distinctive, expressive human performance.

My specialty is tone and character: warm, lyrical melodies, vintage jazz colors, smoky muted textures, growls, wah-wah and expressive solos. I work with open trumpet and cornet, cup, straight, Harmon and plunger mutes, plus bends, falls and other jazz articulations.

I can improvise over your chord changes, create hooks and melodic fills, develop horn lines from a reference or MIDI sketch, or record your written parts with precision. My classical background supports accurate reading, detailed phrasing and carefully matched overdubs.

From early jazz and swing to bebop, hard bop, soul and cinematic music, I adapt the sound and phrasing to your track. My album Taking the Plunge received a Choc from Jazz Magazine and was a finalist for the Académie du Jazz's Jazz Héritage award.

Services include trumpet or cornet solos, written parts, muted textures, layered lines and horn arrangements, with clean WAV stems and alternate takes as agreed.
