Hi, I’m Daniel Connolly, a London-based mix engineer, producer, songwriter, and Avid-certified Pro Tools expert (PT101 & PT110).

I’ve worked at a professional level for over 15 years as both a musician and producer. I’m currently involved with the London bands Sisteray and Happy Science, and my work has contributed to releases with over one million Spotify streams.

I’ve toured extensively across the UK and Europe and played major festivals including Reading & Leeds, Isle of Wight, The Great Escape, Camden Rocks, and Tramlines. My music has received airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Radio X, and Amazing Radio, and has been featured in publications such as Clash, NME, and Louder Than War.

My approach to mixing is hybrid. I work primarily in Pro Tools, combining modern in-the-box precision with outboard processing and real tape to add depth, weight, and character. I often run tracks or stems through hardware compressors, saturation, and tape machines to create movement and harmonic richness that plugins alone do not always capture.

Coming from a background as a songwriter, guitarist, and frontman, I mix with the song at the centre. I focus on clarity, energy, and feel, aiming for mixes that sound natural, punchy, and emotionally engaging rather than over-processed. I specialise in guitar-driven music, alternative, indie, post-punk, and experimental styles, but always adapt to the artist’s vision.
