Being an artist myself, I understand the importance of getting every detail to be the best that it can be, and to create a the proper sonic background for an idea that starts in the mind. That's why I like to work by going back and forth with the artist, especially in the earlier stages, settling down on a production style first by asking about potential reference songs and trying a few different ideas.
