Caterina Crucitti was born on 23 July 1988 in Reggio Calabria and after a while she moved to Milan with her family.
At the age of 11 she approached music through the study of the piano, at the Villa Pomini Music Academy in Castellanza, then continuing her studies at the Cantelli Conservatory of Novara and winning several competitions nationally and internationally, including the Competition National Piano of the City of Seville "Julio Garcìa Casas".
She became passionate about electric bass at the age of 17, undertaking her self-taught study, with a live and studio activity that was growing rapidly from the start.
At the same time she studies with different Masters: Massimo Moriconi, Lorenzo Poli, Tonino De Sensi, Michele Tacchi, Dario Deidda.
She is currently studying at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan, under the guidance of M. Marco Micheli.
From 2013 to 2014 she is a teacher of ensemble music at the CPM Music Institute of Franco Mussida.
Graduated in Foreign Languages and Literatures, she acts as interpreter for numerous clinics, including those of André Ceccarelli, Hadrien Feraud, Henrik Linder (Dirty Loops).
In 2014 the endorser collaboration began with the brands Yamaha, Markbass, IQS Strings, Zoom Italia, of which he became representative at numerous fairs, masterclasses and events in Italy and abroad.
Since 2015 she plays with Gigi Cifarelli, one of the most acclaimed jazz Italian guitarists; in 2016 she undertakes an intense concert activity with the trio of Andrea Braido and drummer Giovanni Giorgi.
In 2017 she collaborates for a year in the studio with Matia Bazar and Piero Cassano.
Since 2018 he has joined the historic rock-prog group Area, together with Maestro Patrizio Fariselli, Giovanni Giorgi, Claudia Tellini, with whom he treads important stages such as Blue Note and Midnight Summer Festival.
In 2019 the collaboration with the trio of Dario Faiella and Maxx Furian also begins, and in different formations with the drummer Tony Arco, including that with the pianist and composer Riccardo Fassi and the saxophonists Arun Luthra and Andy Sugg.
In 2020 she was a guest of Maestro Enrico Intra's Big Band for the prestigious festival "Jazz is Woman".
She currently collaborates with: Open Project Area, Patrizio Fariselli, Giovanni Giorgi, Riccardo Fassi, Tony Arco, Maxx Furian, Dario Faiella, Fabrizio Bernasconi.
