Brett Frey is a Bassist and Session Leader based out of Nashville TN. He received his Bachelor's degree from Berklee College of Music, his Master's from Northwestern University and his Doctorate from University Of Southern California - all in Music Performance. Upon arriving to Nashville in 2019 his first gig in town was subbing for a three night gig with Trisha Yearwood and the Nashville Symphony at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. In 2020 he started his own company called "Brett Frey Music Company LLC" and started a few businesses such as the "Westhaven Conservatory" which was a commercial music school in Franklin TN and the "Brett Frey Music City Band" which is a live music contracting service that provided music to businesses across Middle Tennessee. 

In 2025, Brett decided he finally wanted to pursue his life long goal of being a session bassist and leader. He found three artist friends that were in need of fully produced songs, set up a few recording sessions and Brett Frey Session Services was born. In just one year, Brett has co-produced three recording projects: Two with Johnny Garcia (Trisha Yearwood's Guitarist and bandleader) and one with indie artist Kara Frazier. 

He has recording credits at Blackbird and Sound Emporium Studios and has tracked with Johnny Garcia (Trisha Yearwood, Garth Brooks), Keith Carlock (Steely Dan, TOTO), Greg Morrow (Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Joe Bonamassa), Wil Houchens (Luke Combs, Rascal Flatts) & Jimmy Mattingly (Garth Brooks). 

His goal with Brett Frey Session Services is to facilitate recording sessions for all artists in the best rooms in Nashville with the best bands and for every artist from indie and beyond to have access to the best, most fun and most memorable recording experiences ever without breaking the bank.
