Born on the 2nd of March 1994, Blessing Mokoena is a singer,songwriter,producer,mix engineer,vocal coach and music educator from the City of Kings. He began to study music theory at the age of 5 and wrote his first song at age 6 . At age 15 he became the youngest and first black winner of the “Antonia Jervis Cup” Awarded by the Zimbabwe Academy of Music for outstanding work in music arrangements He later founded and Directed the group,Vérité which had the Afrocentric international radio hit “Nyathela Ngamandla” which garnered top 10 Chart spots in 6 countries in 2015. In 2017 after becoming a finalist on the Skyz Metro iThando Challenge narrowly missing out on First place, Blessing launched his solo career with the debut Single Open Closed Doors which was followed by the 2nd Single, Nothing Without You in November 2018. He was Featured in Centurion Rekord, a local publication in Centurion, Gauteng in the same month after the release of the single. Currently Blessing’s latest Single Misunderstood (feat. Elaine Mackay) is on rotation on TBN in Africa (DSTV Channel 343) on the TBN Play program. The Single has made its radio debut in 11 different countries garnering positive reception steadily and continues to reach new borders daily!
