With an impressive and extensive background in Musical Theater, vocal coach and professional performer (singer, actor, dancer) Ashley Conway has always believed in giving back to the community. She has shared her voice and acting talents across the country from Seattle to Baltimore, earning awards and enthusiastic reviews from professionals and audiences every step of the way.

Called a unique blend of Whitney Houston and Jill Scott with a hint of Beyoncé , Anita Baker and Lalah Hathaway sprinkled in, Conway was advised early on, “Learn how to sing every music genre.” As a result, she can deliver a song as few others can, whether she’s performing in a play or singing as herself. Which is why audiences can never get enough of her.

At Patapsco High School & Center for the Arts, Conway studied jazz, classical, chamber, gospel, show choir, and musical theater. At Morgan State University, she studied Vocal Performance and sociology. While at Morgan, she traveled the world with the Morgan State University Choir and performed as part of the Morganettes Dance team ensemble.

A member of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity for Women, Conway is also a member of Sweet Adelines International, an a capella organization for diverse women from many nations, with whom she worked and from whom she received coaching from the organization’s top coaches and directors.

Twice nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Musical – Broadway World, Baltimore and Broadway World, D.C. – Conway knows what it takes to take the stage and make it and the audience her own.

Conway’s public offerings include voice lessons, vocal workshops (gaining confidence through singing and learning how to sing in a group setting) and live music entertainment. (avpstudio.mymusicstaff.com)

If you share Conway’s enthusiasm for performing live as a singer, dancer or actor, she is now offering virtual classes. Conway says, “At a time in our history when we’re required to isolate from each other, here is one sure-fire way to connect, encourage, inspire and truly head toward the destiny you envision for yourself as an entertainer. Instead of feeling stuck, take this rare opportunity to focus fully on the future you truly want. The corona virus won’t last forever. Get ready to take the stage with more confidence and competence when it’s gone. Let’s get together virtually and have some serious fun in the meantime!”
