Hi, I’m Steve — producer and sound engineer for LGA Productions.
I began working in recording studios in the mid-90s, originally as a drum programmer and synthesist. Over time I moved into full-time production and engineering, and since 1999 I’ve produced a wide range of artists and genres. I’ve also helped many singers create professional showreels for gigs and label submissions.
I work with a blend of digital tools and high-quality outboard gear, including a wide collection of hardware synths and FX units. Alongside my studio work, I spent many years as a gigging musician playing bass, guitar, and keyboards in covers and function bands. This hands-on musical experience helps me quickly understand a style and translate it into the production.
I also lectured in music technology for several years, specialising in DAWs such as Cubase, Logic, Ableton, and Pro Tools. I’m passionate about exploring mixing techniques from different eras and understanding how classic EQs, compressors, and effects shape a recording. That’s why I make extensive use of Arturia synths and FX—to bring vintage warmth and character into modern productions. I aim for mixes that feel warm, clear, and full of life.
I have experience mixing Pop, Rock, Metal, Hip-Hop, Trip Hop, Jazz, Funk, Reggae/Dub, Drum & Bass, House, Country, and more. I’m happy to take on any style, and I always encourage clients to share a few reference tracks so I can dial in the exact sound you’re looking for.
Whether you’re an independent artist, a band, or a label needing mixing, production, or audio editing/restoration, I’m dedicated to bringing your vision to life.
