About
HISTORY

A dedicated producer, song writer, and, recording engineer with over a decade of working experience, Omer Leibovitz is an accomplished member of the New York City recording community. He frequently works with NYC legacy institutions like The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and The Julliard School, and, has collaborated in a variety of roles (producer, engineer, musician) in several of the nation's premier studios. He received schooling at the Berklee College for Music, and, has been honored to engineer, assist, produce, and/or perform with a growing list of artists whom he holds in incredibly high esteem, most notably Patti Smith, Yoko Ono, The Black Keys, The Strokes, Father John Misty, 50 cent, Steely Dan, Yo La Tengo, Nick Stumpf (French Kicks), Peter Katis, Chris "Frenchie" Smith, Eddie Cramer, and Jeff Hill (Rufus Wainwright, Shooter Jennings Band).

PROCESS

Omer is comfortable producing/engineering in a range of methods, and, prefers to put the song and artist at the heart of his work, building his process around them. He is equally pleased to record full bands, capturing their native sound, or to work individually with singers, writers, producers, mc's, etc. helping them develop and arrange their tracks from inception. Logic, ProTools, samplers, drums machines and various mics & analog components are all available for use in his studio. A fanatical student of drum tuning and miking techniques, Omer is particularly confident in his ability to record great acoustic drum sounds. He is also a skilled guitarist with a professional ear, and, has cultivated a bullpen of superbly talented musicians to call upon at a moment's notice.
