Nuno Silva is a professional musician from Porto, Portugal, playing ethnic string instruments, mainly Persian santur, oud and kanun.

Having started his musical education deeply embedded in western culture, since 2010 he has been embracing the tradition of makam music as his main influence. Self-taught for most of his career, throughout the years he had the opportunity of studying with great masters which include Ali Bahramifard (Persian santur), Efren Lopez Sanz (oud), Gürsel Torun (oud), Tareq Jundi (oud), Muhittin Kemal (kanun), among others.

Currently, he collaborates with local and international music projects focused on diverse music genres such world, medieval, movie/game soundtracks, and pursues a solo career as session musician and producer.
