Nick was born and raised in Lake Charles, LA and began playing bass in middle school. It wasn’t until high school that he began to pursue bass professionally. At 18 years old, he traveled the country playing with Sean Ardoin & Zydekool (Zydeco) and has been actively gigging and recording ever since. Currently traveling all over the Gulf coast region with Jerry Diaz & Hanna's Reef playing trop rock/country/reggae/island music. After high school, he graduated in audio engineering from the “Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences” in Tempe, AZ. After college, he felt led to move back to southwest Louisiana and is now pursuing a career in music. Currently, he is working as a session bassist playing with various artist’s and recently had the honor of playing for grammy award artist Gloria Gaynor (Disco queen) for a NYE private event. When Nick isn’t on the road gigging, he is down in his home studio working on a new album. His band is called “Dub Habitz” which is named after his love for reggae/dub style music. But, his music is rooted a wide variety of genres including funk, rock, blues and a sweet mellow vibe. Currently endorsed with (MTD USA & Kingston basses, Gallien-Krueger amps, La Bella Strings, Bartolini Pickups, and FSP custom cables)

Outside of the tour life and music industry, you can find Nick playing bass for church and a local premier cover band called "The Kadillacs". He enjoys playing contemporary and gospel music and currently plays for (Henning Memorial First United Methodist Church). Nick is also an instructor at a local music shop and enjoys sharing his knowledge that he has gained over the years with his students.
