Mikey Bassie is a multi-platinum songwriter/producer who has penned songs for the likes of Bob Andy, Joey McIntyre, Britney Spears, Gloria Estefan and has coproduced with Riddim Twins - Sly and Robbie and the new rising sensations, OB Naps & B Toro.

Along with Eric Foster-White, Mikey worked on several projects in Miami for Capitol Records and Crescent Moon (Gloria Estefan) and when Jive Records signed a young pop sensation and needed songs and studio talent, Eric knew Mikey Bassie was the one for the Britney Spears project. Baby One More Time’s fourth track, “Soda Pop”, draws influences from bubblegum pop and dancehall, and features background vocals and hooks from Mikey Bassie.

Mikey’s writing and production skills were called on again when Sony Records needed a 2nd single for the Joey McIntrye Album “Stay The Same”. This collaboration saw the birth of the billboard and MTV hit, ” I Love You Came Too Late”. Mikey also worked with Shane Faber on projects for Sony and Jeep Jazz Records.

Mikey went on to form his own label, Hook Shop Records and has had chart success with OB Naps & B Toro, Fonna and Aina Quach (Paris).
