Matthew Fry is a session bassist from South Wales UK. He has recorded and toured the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and America with his former band Friends Electric and artists such as Dan Croll, Shallow Valley and ShellyAnn.

He has played at festivals such as SXSW (Texas), Pukkelpop, Carfest, Latitude Festival, Radio 1 Big Weekend, Isle of Wight festival, V Festival and Hop Farm. He has also performed at Somerset House London, KOKO, SIR (Los Angeles) and the legendary Cavern Club Liverpool.

He performed at the 2018 Welsh Baftas and has recorded live sessions at Maida Vale for BBC Radio 1 (Huw Stephens) and BBC Radio 2 (Janice Long).

During his time with Friends Electric, he wrote and recorded with Grammy-nominated multi platinum songwriting and music production trio The Invisible Men.

Matthew’s experience in music is strengthened by his working knowledge of the industry. He is a Bachelor of Arts graduate in Performance Industries, which he studied at The Academy of Music and Sound, Glasgow.
