Music has always been present in my life. My father played bass, sang and had an impressive record collection.
As a toddler, I attended early childhood music education, followed by recorder lessons and then several years of classical piano training. After a short break from music school, I began teaching myself bass guitar autodidactically, and soon after devoted myself very intensively and passionately to learning the guitar.
After graduating from high school, I began studying music. During that time, I was already actively performing in various bands and also started teaching guitar lessons. After completing my diploma in guitar, I was already playing in a band that allowed me to make a living from music.
Since then, I have been a professional musician playing around "2000" live gigs in my life. Aside from being a live musician my interest in recording and music production also developed at an early stage.
Over many years, with great interest, love, and dedication, I taught myself the technical aspects of recording, mixing, and mastering. Through numerous external projects—as well as my own—the craft of recording, editing, and mixing has continuously evolved and become more refined.
After recording, editing and mixing many records in the last years I now feel ready to offer this craft here on AirGigs to musicians from all over the world—whether for developing new song ideas or working on already recorded tracks.
Over the years, my workflow has evolved and naturally reflects my personality to some extent. I particularly enjoy working intensively with tools from Universal Audio, as they make it possible to create very organic-sounding mixes. Even their first generation audio processor fascinated me so much that, over time, several analog treasures joined my setup, including the original LA-2A, the 1176LN UREI compressor, and their beautifully sounding 2192AD converter.
These pieces are the heart of all my analog recordings and later meet a rich and carefully curated selection of high-end plugins from renowned manufacturers such as Neve, API, SSL, Massenburg, Brainworx, DGM, Manley, Abbey Road Collection, Capitol and many more.
Furthermore, I have also discovered the advantage of using the room sound of Sound City Studios. It definitely makes a huge difference whether you hear early reflections only through a reverb, even it´s a great Lexicon 480L —or through the authentic room sound of this legendary studio.
In 2026 with all these AI possibilities it is important to give as much sonic life as possible to song productions and also to have a good working relationship with the artists to fulfil there visions to record.
I´m looking forward to offer you my abilities here on airgigs.
