Luigi Casanova first approached music at the age of 12, when he started playing bass guitar. He spent his teens playing with tribute and original bands of every genre of music, while taking private lessons with different teachers around his hometown, Rimini, Italy. He attended the Music Academy 2000 course from 2008 to 2011 in Bologna and a  years double bass course at the Conservatoire G. Rossini in Pesaro, and got a First class Bachelor of Arts degree at Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford in 2013, studying with worldwide known teachers such as Carl Orr and Joe Hubbard. His very versatile playing allowed him to be part of a vast number of bands of any genre in the London area as a bass player, arranger and MD. In april 2016 he became part of Joanne Shaw Taylor’s band, touring Uk, Europe and USA several times, both as headliner and support act for Joe Bonamassa, Glenn Hughes,Jeff Beck, Ringo Starr, Foreigner, YES and Supertramp and partecipating to TV shows such as “Later at Jools Holland” and Vintage TV live at Metropolis studio.
Since then he's been producing/arranging/writing with Electric Pyramid and various other bands/artists with whom he toured around the world.
