Lucas Herrera is a 34-year-old pianist, composer and professor born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As a professional musician he has participated in a wide variety of musical and stage projects, but with a strong dedication to the Jazz culture.

He currently develop himself as pianist and band leader of the “Ocean Quartet” for the Holland America cruises line, while also leading “LH6” – a sextet jazz group which has released their first album entitles “Pale Blue Dot” (2015) and playing as a stable jazz pianist for famous restaurants in Buenos Aires City. He also plays as session musician for jazz, bolero, rock and pop music groups.
Lucas had a formation at Jazz Piano with the professors Álvaro Torres, Juan Carlos Cirigliano and Guillermo Romero, at Classical Piano and technique with Volker Ziemendorff and at “composition and arrangements for big bands” with Juan "Pollo" Raffo. He is pursuing a master degree in Music at Universidad Nacional Tres de Febrero (directed by composer Gabriel Valverde), this lead him to approach to the study and composition of contemporary and chamber music, writing a piano and violin work for the duo Haydeé Schvartz - Elías Gurevich.

- Musical interventions, in company of the musician Juan Cristóbal Sleigh, inspired by the work of the “León Ferrari Donation” and “Más allá de las semejanzas - Pablo Picasso” exhibitions, both performed at the Museum of Modern Art of the City of Buenos Aires (MAMBA) (2015-2017)

- Musical interventions, also with Juan Cristóbal Sleigh, at the Baroque and Mannerist hall of the National Museum of Fine Arts (MNBA), Buenos Aires, 2018.

-Interpreter of “Aguapé del Mississippi” by Lucía Rosso, under the supervision of Cristina Banegas (2017-2018)

-Composition and Interpretation of the Original Sound Scoring for “Los Visuales”, documentary series, Channel Encuentro (TDA),for Argentinian Television (2016-2017)
