Johnson is a composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist best known as a bass player currently based in Texas.
Throughout his career, Johnson has worked with many world class musicians such as: Abraham Laboriel, Adam Nitti, Dan Needham, Nikki Glaspie, David Garfield; also many artists such as R&B star Khalid, christian band Phillips, Craig & Dean, Marcela Gandara, Christine D’Clario, Grammy award winning artist Marcos Vidal among many others, as well as maintaining a successful solo career.

Johnson was immersed at a very young age in various musical environments: Rock/Pop, R&B, Funk and Jazz.
In 2006 Johnson became a part of the production team of Grammy Award nominee producer/drummer Alvaro Lopez and at the same time he became the bass player for Lopez’s “Resq Band”.
At the same time, he was a part of many master recordings alongside world class musicians such as: bassists Abraham Laboriel, John Peña, Michael Landau, Luis Conte and many others.

In 2010, Johnson began focusing on production and since then he has become a highly respected producer as well. He has been a part of more than 50 professional albums as a bassist, producer and/or multi-instrumentalist.
Johnson is also a very accomplished session bass player having recorded bass for artist like: r&b star Khalid (American Teen), Mexican pop-star Yuri (Vive La Historia), Christian multi-award winning band Miel San Marcos (Como En El Cielo), among many others.

Johnson has released 3 instrumental albums, “Bass&Beyond” (2012), “The Leslie Johnson Project” (2015) and “#3” (2018). His albums have received many positive reviews from different magazines and radio stations across the US.
