I am an English born American singer/songwriter. I have played many places: England, Ireland, Scotland, France, America. At 16 I was working, helping my Step-Father paint Key Sound Studios in London, England in 1978. ( I had been playing since I was 10 at the time.) As I was outside the building a black Porsche pulled up and a man in a black suit, carrying a black portfolio, climbed out. I followed him in and asked if I could watch. He was waiting for the rest of the band to arrive; they were rehearsing for a would tour. The song he sang....(There was just him playing and me watching,) ... was called "Telegraph Road" His name was Mark Knopfler and the band was of course Dire Straits. He was so encouraging. This would be enough for any inspired player and from that moment I absorbed all the great acoustic singer/songwriters, old blues men, folk music, jazz, and anything which included acoustic guitar. From there came the gigs and eventually I turned my interest to recording many of my own songs and transcribing them. I produced a series of books for Spartan Music Press entitled "Classical Masters for Acoustic Guitar" and eventually went on to offer the budding guitarist other books, of which I had put together, and presented them through the Amazon site: "Folk Songs: Fingerpicker's traditional folk and blues songbook" "Classical masters for acoustic guitar: revised in one edition" "Sampling the blues: the old blues men" and other books including my own work: "The Youtube Songs: by Lee Mitchell" lyric books and traditional books. What I offer the singer/songwriter is a transcription of their song/s which will include: Guitar-Boxes, a vocal line notation, and a basic piano notation or tab accompaniment - if you are not sure I will add one for you . Any questions then please don't hesitate to ask ask? I am very approachable. Thank you. Lots of love and enjoy what you do. Kind regards Lee Mitchell
