Hi, I am Joe Montague, a professional drummer and producer from the UK.

I graduated from the renowned Jazz Course at Leeds College of Music in 2011 before embarking on a career as a touring drummer. Spending the next few years playing with numerous theatre shows and original projects. From 2013 I played with UK band Dancing Years, touring the UK & Europe with George Ezra, Boy & Bear, To Kill A King and Richard Hawley. Dancing Years received international radio play on stations such as BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music, Radio X and Amazing Radio as well as playing major festivals including Glastonbury and Leeds & Reading Festivals.

I currently tour worldwide in the internationally acclaimed theatre show Beatlemania, and have performed at The World Famous Cavern Club with The Cavern Club Beatles and worked with West End theatre tour Let It Be.

Since starting a family, being at home more has become important to me. Having spent lots of time in recording studios, setting up my own studio seemed the logical next step; meaning less time on the road whilst still having a creative output. The Old Surgery Recording Studio was born (my original studio was an old doctors surgery) and I now devote my time to recording drums on songs, touring with Beatlemania and enjoying time with my wife and two young daughters.

I am proud to be supported by Amedia Cymbals.

Recording credits include: Dancing Years, Sam Airey, Jarbird, Big Fin, Roxanne De Bastion, YVA, Etape, That Is Good, Joseph Lawrenson, D. Butler, ANew Day, James Dey, Richard Petch, Joe Kane and Drambuie.
