A vibrant and hard-working performer, Jessica Ashleigh (20) first appeared on stage in 2017 alongside one of Australia’s top female performers, Lisa Adam, in the “lavish” production of 'Beauty and the Beast the Musical'. In 2018, Jessica made her lead debut as Aaron (Arianne) Schultz in the hit musical 'Legally Blonde' that “exploded” onto the stage at the Regal Theatre. Later that year, Jessica also starred in quirky 'Shrek Jr the Musical' as part of the comedic trio of German Pigs. This year, she appeared in the Perth show of the touring production 'Jersey to Motown' as part of the Divas quartet. Jessica recently finished playing the role of the Wicked Witch of the West in the “magical” production of 'The Wizard of Oz' at the Regal Theatre in Subiaco.

With a passion for TV and film, Jessica has been involved in Telethon performances since 2017. She has also played the bubbly and flirtatious Rebecca in the short film, 'Dog Eat Dog', released in December 2019. She has recently been cast as Olive in MAP Productions short film 'Deceived Perception', a dissection on the effects of drug use and teen social interaction. Jessica has been furthering her screen acting training by attending classes with Jeremy Levi through AMA Acting Studios.

Jessica has obtained her Cert IV in Musical Theatre and recently graduated from her Advanced Diploma in Musical Theatre at APAN Academy. During her time studying, she’s participated in JEEP Management’s Audition Workshop run by “key industry figure” CEO PJ Clarke and Creative Producer Kieron Kulik as well as a musical theatre workshop by Tarunga Merito.

In her spare time, Jessica can be found with a milkshake in one hand and a pen in the other writing her own young adult novels focusing on LGBT culture and current political issues.
