Born in Honduras in 1990, Enrique Mancía moved to Spain at the age of 13, where he became interested in music and started playing drums. By the time he was 16 he had become fascinated by the electric bass and both its rhythmic and melodic possibilities, and immediately traded the sticks for the five strings. Enrique currently lives in NYC, where he attended the prestigious New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music on a merit-base scholarship. Having earned a reputation in pop and rock music, he has performed in events such as the Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago, SXSW in Austin, headlined venues such as Gramercy Theatre, Highline Ballroom and Mercury Lounge in NYC, and the Beatles Revolution Lounge in Las Vegas to mention a few, and has recorded with world-class producers such as John Bender (credits include Paramore, Killswitch Engage, Breaking Benjamin), Rich Lamb (credits include Joan Osborne, John Cale, They May Be Giants) and Mark Alan Goodman (credits include Bob Dylan, D’Angelo, Mike Stern) in NYC, and Jay Baumgardner at NRG Studios (credits include Linkin Park, Evanescence, No Doubt) as well as NRG's in-house engineer Kyle Hoffman (credits include Bruce Springsteen, Bush, John Fogerty) in Los Angeles. Enrique is an official Marleaux Bass Guitars artist.
