Hi there! My name is Dean Parker and I am a freelance touring/recording musician and musical director based in and around Newcastle, England.

As a musical director, guitarist, vocalist, pianist and mandolinist, I have appeared live and in the studio alongside artists such as Andy Gangadeen (UK), Nick Cohen (UK), William Michael Morgan (USA), Lewis Brice (USA), Drew Dixon (US), Mauvey (UK), RIKA (UK), Emergency Tiara (US) and Hayley Jensen (AUS) over the past few years.

With recent performances in venues such as Maida Vale Studios, The Jazz Cafe, O2 Arena, Country2Country Festival and The Boisdale, London, I continue to push forward with my musical and creative roles.

As a guest, I have had the pleasure of performing alongside acclaimed guitarist Paul Gilbert (Mr. Big, Racer X, Solo) and in the production ‘Seven Decades’ (directed by Michael John Ross - Nick Mason, Simon Le Bon). I also dedicate time to The Academy of Contemporary Music, working as the musical director of the ACM House Band, and also turn my hand to the orchestra pit in a variety of theatre productions.

A keen advocate of all things roots, I am also a member of UK country rock band, Backwoods Creek and also lead a solo career alongside my session work. I perform relentlessly throughout the year with multiple outfits at venues and festivals around the country. Recent shows include the O2 Arena, London, Buckle & Boots Country Festival and in the past I have supported blues greats such as Kirk Fletcher.
