Bryant Wilson, also known as the Beatqualizer, is a high quality Producer and Professional Drummer from Baltimore, Maryland. Most commonly known for playing high energy, exciting, crowd pleasing rhythms on the drums, he began his musical journey at the age of three years old.
The Beatqualizer was influenced early on by the local drummer at his church. After church, he could be found in the kitchen playing on pots and pans while his grandmother cooked dinner. As he grew and developed, he later became influenced by many other drummers, most notably, the late Aaron Spears, Erik Tribbett, and Brian F. Moore. The Beatqualizer recalls the moment he knew he wanted to be a drummer, when he went to the Gideon Band Concert in 1999.
From that moment on, he learned how to specialize in different sounds, and no matter the moment, he could match it with an appropriate sound and beat for the moment. This skill produced a love and joy for music of all genres including: Gospel, R&B, Hip Hop, Jazz, Country, Rock, Contemporary, Pop, and more. This love for music afforded him great opportunities early on beginning in church, then culminating to going on tour with artist like: Chico DeBarge, NEXT, R&B Diva Monifah, Scola Dinero, Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes, Hip Hop's own Busy Bee Starski, Grammy-nominated Maimouna Youssef and many more local and national artists.
In addition to touring, he has also developed himself as a musical leader by constructing bands together, assisting in composing music, and providing drum lessons to children and adults with a desire and passion to learn how to play. This love for drums, opened the door for him to play in many local bands, including: Black Root Underground (album is on all streaming platforms), Leftist (from DC, album is on all streaming platforms), Dem Bmore Katz, and several others.
Finally, as the Beatqualizer has grown in his craft, he also has been able to engineer and produce many tracks. Heavily influenced by Rodney Jerkins, N.E.R.D, and Timbaland. He is currently affiliated with the Moon Age Music Group who is currently engaged in a several projects of producing music and artist development. The Beatqualizer has a genuine love for rhythm and beats and is always looking for opportunity to share this love and passion with the world. “Music can produce the life you want.” .
