Hi there

My name is Bill Hester. I’m a UK-based musician, producer, mix & mastering engineer, with a deep love for crafting great-sounding audio. Over twenty years I have produced tracks for my own band, Chemistry Uncovered, with music streaming now on Spotify and all major platforms. Since finishing full-time work I am now ready to dedicate my time to helping others make music that they love.

I have a very compact but fully acoustically-treated home studio in Gerrards Cross, Bucks, with some of the world's finest audio gear for tracking and mixing. I use Neumann mics (M149, U87, KM184) into Rupert Neve preamps and converters, and I listen and mix on flagship Genelec monitors. I use the latest production software tools (such as Melodyne for pitch correction) alongside high-end analog gear (including Rupert Neve Mastering processors) to deliver warm, detailed, and professional-sounding mixes and masters.

I am also a multi-instrumentalist, having played all instruments on Chemistry Uncovered's records. My lead instruments are guitar and drums, but I also play bass and keys to support the production process when needed.

• High-quality vocal and solo instrument recording. See what your voice or sax can really sound like through a £20,000 recording chain
• Professional mixing and analog mastering. I will edit and produce your vocal to sound the absolute best it can be. I will mix your existing instrumental takes or help you create new ones, up to full productions and a finished master
• Session guitar, drums, bass, and keys for production support. Whilst I have some wonderful VST instruments available, sometimes only the real thing will do
• Friendly, collaborative service with clear communication. As a senior business professional for much of my working life, I know how to work with people to create value
