I began my musical journey on the bass when I was 15 after being mesmerized by images and albums coming from Nikki Sixx (Motley Crue) and Gene Simmons (KISS). After a few years of being immersed within the hair-band/metal genre my tastes evolved after digging into the music of Geddy Lee (Rush), John Myung (Dream Theater), Flea (Chili Peppers), John Patitucci (Chick Corea), and, of course, Jaco Pastorius (Weather Report). I attended the University of Louisiana in Lafayette to pursue a degree in music (music media and jazz studies), but left before I graduated so that I could go out on the road, full-time, and get some live experience. After 16 years of playing on the road, and recording on a few projects along the way, I got into a full-time day job and go out occasionally to play gigs. Now I am looking to evolve to the next step of performing and staying creative by recording for others. After reading about and following the careers of studio bassists out of Nashville, L.A., and New York, listening to the music they have recorded, and having done some recording for some of the local artists from my area, I feel that I could have something to offer. If it's rock, pop, country, dance, or smooth jazz, let me be YOUR bassist!!
