Alison Prestwood – 4-time nominee for ACM Bass Player of the Year (Academy of Country Music Awards) - $150 per song
I am a well-established Nashville bass player (according to the musicians’ union, I had played on over 13,500 songs in the Nashville studios as of 2021). I am currently playing bass on tour with both Peter Frampton and Rodney Crowell. I played on all tracks on George Benson’s recent album, “Walking to New Orleans.” I played bass on Blake Shelton’s first three albums, including the #1 songs “Austin” and “The Baby” and the huge hit “Ol’ Red.” I've played on countless other recordings by artists Trace Adkins, Kid Rock, Josh Thompson, Needtobreathe, Little Richard, Elizabeth Cook, Ronnie Milsap, Rodney Crowell, Jim Lauderdale, Buddy Miller, Julie Miller, Olivia Newton-John, Faith Hill, Marty Stuart, Kim Carnes, Brooks and Dunn, Felix Cavliere & Steve Cropper, Eddie Floyd, William Bell, Robbie Fulks, Ray Stevens, Don McLean, Chris LeDoux, B.J. Thomas, Jeffrey Steele, and Cliff Richard, among others.
All styles - including pop, rock, country, soul, alternative, funk, and jazz. Great with fingers or pick. Electric solid body and hollow body basses. I'm a very good music reader, too. I use ProTools 12.7.
I was in the house band for the 2019 Country Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, the CMA Awards Show in November 2019, and the CMT Country Christmas special in 2020.
Artists I've toured with include Peter Frampton, Shawn Colvin, Olivia Newton-John, Rodney Crowell, Patty Loveless, Amy Grant, and Vince Gill. I played with many other artists in concert and on TV shows, including Joe Bonamassa, Trisha Yearwood, Wynona Judd, Richard Marx, Earl Scruggs, Dolly Parton, Larry Carlton, Christopher Cross, Loretta Lynn, and more than I can remember right now!
