He took up classical piano at an early age before moving onto jazz, progressive rock, and contemporary music. He spread his wings and moved to the high energy environment of Los Angeles where he attended the Musicians Institute and where now lives and works.
He first stepped onto the international stage with the instrumental band Aphelion, who released their debut album Franticode in 2008. The disc was mixed by Derek Sherinian, which became the start of a long- standing collaboration.
His debut solo album " Keystone" has been released in 2013 for Generation Prog Records - Produced by D. Sherinian and features Virgil Donati - drums, Ric Fierabracci - bass and Brett Garsed on guitar.
He collaborates with a variety of world class players and works as a live/ studio session player, touring artist and teacher.
Alessandro Bertoni is an American-resident Italian-native progressive rock keyboardist.
He is based in Los Angeles where it works as a studio and live session keyboardist, songwriter, producer and music instructor. 
His musical style can be defined as intense and heavy progressive rock blended with sophisticated and fusion-esque elements.
Author of two critically acclaimed solo releases, he has collaborated on more than 30 albums for artists from all over the world and recorded and performed alongside some of the greatest names in the field.
