We´re the Sinners

We´re the Sinners

“We’re the Sinners” is about what it felt like to be a musician during the pandemic — when society viewed the cultural scene and live concerts as the core of the problem, while we as musicians struggled just to make ends meet.
It’s a song about feeling like an outsider, someone who doesn’t quite fit into the system — falling outside of what’s considered normal or “right.”

We´re the Sinners Lyrics:

Who will hear the cries for change to come
We ran to the fields and faught till our hands turned numb
Now this town is painted red
And hope ran away down the riverbed

Here we are
We’ve paved the way and come this far
But we fall behind
The winners
Come hear the sound
Of voices lost, but to be found
Though we fall behind
We´re the sinners

The house we built is catching on with fire
Smoke gets thick and flames are rising higher
So quietly, so quietly burning
But wait for the day when we will be returning

We will stand together
Through all stormy weather

Here we are
We’ve paved the way and come this far
But we fall behind
The winners
Come hear the sound
Of voices lost, but to be found
Though we fall behind
We´re the sinners
