The Legacy Of Narcissus
The Legacy of Narcissus is the debut album by Mäle, released on April 18, 2025 via Hëll Records. A concept suspended between sci-fi vision and deep introspection, it imagines a near future where death is no longer the end, but the beginning of new questions about identity and memory.
The record blends the power of alternative metal and hard rock with an electro/industrial edge, where sharp riffs, tight rhythms and epic vocal lines intertwine with synths and electronic textures. The goal is to craft a modern, cinematic sound – melodic yet hard-hitting.
The album was produced by Alessandro Medri and Mike Krompass. Writing and pre-production sessions took place in Italy at Accademia 49 (Cesena), while recording and mixing were completed at BASE Culture Studios in Sheffield (UK), highlighting the project’s dual identity: Italian roots with a Brit accent.
The tracklist features ten songs, including the singles “The Fallen One” (also featured on the soundtrack of the sci-fi movie Rage of Stars), “Won’t Be Silent in the Night”, “The Moth”, and “Someone Else”, along with special versions such as “For Every Lost Earth (Home Live Session)” and “Hurt Me With Your Love (Electro Orchestra)”. The digital edition also includes an exclusive bonus track: “Maybe Tomorrow” (a Stereophonics cover), mixed by Joe Marlett (Foo Fighters, Blink-182, Queens of the Stone Age), adding further international prestige to the project.
Available both in digital format and as a CD digipack with a 20-page booklet, The Legacy of Narcissus unfolds as a sonic journey that merges energy, introspection, and futuristic imagery, marking Mäle’s entry into the international scene with a personal and unmistakable voice.
