On Father Time, I worked on the lyrics, vocal melodies, and vocal performance, shaping the song around its central theme of the passage of time and the weight of mortality. Musically, it’s one of the band’s more atmospheric and reflective pieces, combining heavy doom-driven riffs with a spacious, almost meditative flow.
My vocal delivery was designed to capture both the gravitas and fragility of the theme — moving between deep, resonant lines that embody inevitability, and soaring melodic sections that carry a sense of longing and transcendence. The contrast reflects the tension between inevitability and hope, making the performance both heavy and emotionally stirring.
This track allowed me to showcase a wide expressive range, blending melancholy, power, and atmosphere, while working closely with the band to ensure the vocals elevated the song’s narrative and immersive character.
