My Creative Process: A Deep Dive into 'Alone With You'
This track is a demonstration of my mixing and sound design skills, using the publicly available multi-track for the rock-blues ballad 'Alone With You' by Justin Myles. My goal was not simply to balance the instruments, but to reimagine the song's sonic identity and present it from a fresh perspective.

My vision for this mix was to infuse it with a modern old-school aesthetic. I wanted the sound to feel both contemporary and timeless, as if it was recorded today using vintage techniques and gear. I focused on bringing out the raw, emotive performance of the vocals and the nuanced, organic textures of the guitars, ensuring they sound as pronounced and impactful as possible.

As a professional musician with over 30 years of experience as both a bassist and a Front of House (FOH) engineer, my approach to mixing is deeply rooted in performance and live sound. This unique background gives me an intuitive understanding of balance, dynamics, and space.
