Delta Sun is a track I produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered for the Seattle-based rock band Bad Honey. While Bad Honey is best known for their rowdy Black Keys style blues-rock sound, for "Delta Sun," we took a deliberate step back to pay homage to rock and roll's delta blues roots.

Our goal was to make this song feel like it was spontaneously performed on someone's front porch, capturing an organic, unpolished vibe. To achieve this, I got creative with the percussion, recording everyday household objects like mason jars, car keys, and even M&M's bags. I also layered in plenty of gang vocals, stomps, and claps to give it a communal, live feel. The end result is something truly unique: a track that sounds both organic and playfully authentic, a real departure that showcases Bad Honey's versatility.
