Wagon Way holds a special place for me because it was the first song I wrote and produced solely for myself after years of collaborating with others in bands. My purpose with this track was to explore what it truly means to call a place—and the people who occupy it—home. The cover art, a polaroid capturing the entrance to my childhood neighborhood, visually drives home the narrative in a personal way.
The recording process itself was just as intimate and homegrown. My good friend Andrew Lapinid—an extremely talented drummer and recording engineer—helped me track all the instruments. We laid down everything in the bedrooms and living room of his quiet house nestled in a tree-lined Seattle suburb.
I wouldn't have had it any other way.

Lyrics
Verse 1:
Tell me how the world is
Did it treat you right?
Was it everything you dreamed it'd be
When you couldn't sleep at night?
Everybody's fine here
It's the kind of place
Where nothing ever changes much
And nothing stays the same
Verse 2:
Swear you came out kicking
Always wanting more
You tried your best to stay around
With one foot out the door
Bigger things were coming
Calling out your name
And though I hated watching you go
Still love you all the same
Pre-Chorus:
And if you start feeling like your bank account
Overdrawn and emptied out
And you've got nothing to your name
And if your friends all skip town
And you just want someone around
To remind you you're not alone
Chorus:
Come on home
Come on home
Come on home
Home to me
Verse 3:
Saw you left a message
Late the other night
Said everything was gettin' wrong
When you're trying to get it right
If your life is sinking
Just throw up a flare
It doesn't matter where you are
In the morning I'll be there
