Alkimistia

Victoria Real couldn't be more promising. After a 2024 of tremendous growth and with the Aerolínea experience under her belt, the Argentine singer-songwriter and musician returns to the scene with an unmissable EP. "Alkimistia," her new work, brings together and showcases the strengths of an artist with imagination, power, and patience for musical ingrainment.

The release of "Alkimistia" breaks the calendar in half. Since its release, five tracks that reflect on existence, fantasize about the possibility of escape without having to move, and exalt the stealthy observation of the environment as a source of inspiration will find new spaces to wear and color.

"Alkimistia," a word coined by the author herself, represents a radical transformation: her own.

Victoria Real's brand-new adventure opens with "Salir," a first preview released in 2023, whose futuristic and captivating character serves as a vehicle for the performer to experiment with the high notes of her vocal range while dialoguing with constantly incoming and outgoing electric guitars. Chaotic and mesmerizing, the first track of "Alkimistia" is the perfect hook to devour its successors in one bite.

As the tracks ("Salir," "Just Fun," "Horas Pasan," "Correr," "Blue Green Red") unfold, the drastic changes in rhythm emerge as one of Victoria Real's artistic strengths. Comfortably, what is so complex, sometimes excessively challenging, sprouts green shoots for those who don't deny their sowing. Sustained throughout the album, some will say—not without reason—that this characteristic is in its nature.

Co-produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered at Delito Música, Victoria Real's new album combines alternative and electronic rock in five versions. Somewhat frenetic, some peaceful, some disturbing, they exhibit disparate sonic and lyrical complexities.

For the author, the album's drama made sense from the first draft: "Alchemy, which is an ancient and esoteric discipline that, in the past, sought to transform base metals into gold, discover the elixir of life, and find cures for diseases. Along those lines, I came up with 'Alkimistia' as something drastic," she says.
