stinking cute

A flirting gentleman - with his wife beside him - comes up to Ana as she's working in the Parish Office and asks her out of the blue, "How'd you get so stinking cute?" A few weeks later he comes to the office again and asks the same question, but this time adds as explanation, "you should answer. that's how God made me, and I take after my mother."

Ever since hearing this story from Ana I knew I had to write a song with this title just for her :-)

I saw you as a bright morning light
don't you dare say it's not true
you stole my little heart with your attraction
now there's nothing I can do
you can tell me anything but what's the truth,
how'd you get so stinking cute?

I saw you as a bright morning light
precious pearl in a sea of shells
flowing dark hair on lovely shoulders
parted lips to share the things you tell
speak to me of anything but what's the truth,
how'd you get so stinking cute?

Angels from above brought you down to earth
to give you to your mama's care
laid you in a cradle till you grew up fine
shine! shine! shine!

I saw you as a bright morning light
don't you dare say that it's not true
led my little heart to your affections
now there's nothing I can do
you can tell me anything but what's the truth,
how'd you get so stinking cute?
