No Pride at All
A song off of an album of covers I did. It was written by Jesse Winchester.
I remember reading an article about him, and this song was mentioned.
I had never heard the song before, and the passage read about some guy mentioning he had a friend who he described as a big biker dude, and he'd come over and ask his friend to put on that song and he said his biker dude friend would almost always break down emotionally. Just from the power of the article, I had to find the song.
I remember another artist I like, Don McLean doing an album of covers that he called Playing Favorites which I thought was a clever title, in this vein I came up with the title Scoundrel for my album of covers.
